- Zach Sokoloff
A native Angeleno, Zach began his career as an Algebra I teacher at Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School in Boyle Heights and Jordan High School in Watts.
For the past decade, Zach has led multi-billion dollar economic development projects to transform legacy studio lots into modern media ecosystems and create thousands of new jobs in LA’s entertainment industry and the small businesses it supports.
Zach also spearheaded a mentorship and jobs training program that connects historically underrepresented communities to below-the-line production roles so our workforce is as dynamic and diverse as LA itself.
Named by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the 500 most important people in Los Angeles County, Zach also serves on the boards of the LA Economic Development Corporation, Heal the Bay, LAFHBuilds, and the Equality California PAC. He was appointed as a delegate to the CA Democratic Party by Congressman Ted Lieu and previously served as a tenant representative on a local rent stabilization commissioner.
Zach earned a BA from Yale University, a Master’s in Education Policy and Administration from Loyola Marymount University, and a JD/MBA from Harvard University. He lives in Westwood with his wife, their two children, and two rescue dogs.
